Steph Martins has built a career on a simple belief: that the right words can move people. As ExperiencePoint’s Director of Marketing, she brings together growth strategy, digital marketing expertise and a deep conviction that storytelling is a quantifiable driver of business impact.
That belief didn’t start at ExperiencePoint. Before joining the company, Steph built her career across a wide range of industries where language, trust and human understanding were essential. After earning a Bachelor of Arts in English and Philosophy from the University of Toronto and a Master’s degree in English from York University, she worked in journalism, real estate and the death care industry. Across each role, she became increasingly interested in how strong stories could help organizations connect with the people they serve.
Steph then joined ExperiencePoint as a contract senior copywriter and quickly became an essential voice in the company’s growth. In just four years, she moved from supporting the brand through copy to leading the Marketing department, shaping its marketing channels, lead generation, go-to-market strategy and product commercialization efforts.
Today, as a specialist in Search Engine Marketing (SEM) and Digital Strategy, Steph has helped expand ExperiencePoint’s reach while building new systems for measuring marketing performance and client engagement. She’s especially energized by the opportunity to connect learning experience data to behavior change, helping ExperiencePoint better understand and demonstrate the real impact of its work.
That same instinct to invest in what’s next shows up outside the office, too. Steph is passionate about giving back to the academic community and serves on Centennial College’s Program Advisory Committee, helping ensure marketing curriculum stays current, practical and connected to the skills employers value most. She’s also ExperiencePoint’s key touchpoint for internships, mentoring emerging marketers as they find their own professional voices.
Ask Steph what she loves most about ExperiencePoint, though, and she’ll tell you it’s the people. She’s proud to work in a culture where curiosity, intelligence and contribution are deeply valued and where some of the world’s leading organizations and academic institutions come to build human-centered capabilities in new and meaningful ways.
When she’s not building campaigns or finding the right words for a complex idea, Steph can usually be found cooking, making her friends and colleagues laugh, or spending time with her beloved cats, Jones and Baxter. One day, she hopes to return to school to complete her PhD.
